This is probably obvious to everybody but me.
Science is not my area of expertise, by any means. But it is one of my favourite things to teach in Grade One. I've only just realized that the scientific process is a circle. Or maybe, more accurately, a spiral. A narrowing path up a volcano, passing through the points of the compass with each turning, getting ever closer to the truth of how things are. Of where they begin.
And that it all comes back around again and again to asking questions.
(Turns out it was in the curriculum all along.)
(Some of us have to figure things out for ourselves.)
